Solstice

You cling to my memory like grapes as to its vine Chiming its sweet melody time after passing time Filled with bittersweet dreams so poignantly true As mist and dew meets a day’s morning hue A helpless prey trapped in amour’s lure Intoxicated with a venom without a cure Teardrops fall like rain on a barren plain To shower dear heart with hope Be it in vain Every leaf may fall The last petal will wither This enduring passion will bloom without falter Just as a river rush home into the sea A love will be with you No need for a plea Written by the Author in January of 2002 ©Naneth Ang 2019, All Rights Reserved
